1. What are your current goals and why?
My main goal was to compete in a powerlifting competition, but I’ve had a setback with a back injury that’s put that on hold for now. Right now, my focus has shifted to recovery and getting back to a place where I can train safely and consistently again. Long term, I still want to compete- it’s something I’ve been working toward and am really passionate about, but I know taking care of my body now is what will allow me to get there.
2. What keeps you motivated?
I’m motivated by seeing progress over time, even if it’s small. I like having something to work toward and pushing myself to improve. I also really value structure and routine- it helps me stay consistent. Even with setbacks, I try to stay focused on the bigger picture and remind myself why I started
3. Why is it important to you to live a healthy lifestyle?
Living a healthy lifestyle is important to me because it impacts everything: my energy, my mindset, and how I show up day to day. I want to feel strong, capable, and confident in my body, and I know that comes from taking care of myself. It’s also about longevity; I want to be able to stay active and do the things I enjoy long-term.
4. What is your most memorable experience in this program?
One of the most memorable parts has been seeing my strength improve and feeling more confident in my lifts. There’s something really rewarding about putting in the work consistently and then seeing it pay off. I’ve also appreciated the structure and support from Coach Tori - it has made it easier to stay on track and learn more about how to train effectively.
5. BRIGHT SPOTS. Hype up your accomplishments. What are you most proud of so far?
I’m most proud of my consistency and the progress I’ve made leading up to my injury. I showed up, stayed committed, and pushed myself outside of my comfort zone. Even now, I’m proud that I’m staying focused on recovery instead of rushing back too quickly. It’s not always easy to slow down, but I know it’s the right thing to do.
