1. What are your current goals and why?
I want to continue making friends with my body and the signals it sends. I’ve learned so much about what my body is trying to tell me by working with Lissa, and the gifts of paying attention are really amazing! I’ve lost 10 lbs and would love to lose 10 more, but I’m feeling so good, the end result doesn’t matter to me as much anymore.
2. What keeps you motivated?
I started nutrition coaching because it seemed like my body was really unhappy with how I was trying to fuel it. Having fewer days with GI stress is such a gift. When I think of the “sacrifice” of not eating this or that, I always come back to how good I feel when I honor my body’s preferences and limitations.
3. Why is it important to you to live a healthy lifestyle?
I’m going for longevity. I want to be active and healthy for decades to come. Movement and independence are really important to me, and getting to know my body better has increased both of these for me!
4. What is your most memorable experience in this program?
Wow, how just tracking what I’m eating changes everything about my diet in such a short period of time. Noticing really matters.
5. BRIGHT SPOTS. Hype up your accomplishments. What are you most proud of so far?
So psyched that I have lost 10 lbs since I started my fat-loss phase. I’d love to lose 10 more, but have already made friends with the idea that I might not. Since I know how to feel my best by eating better, I trust that wherever I land will be the right weight for me and my lifestyle. I’m really proud of the fact that the scale doesn’t define me.
