1.) What are your current goals and why?
I started my programme with All-Tru looking to build a healthy lifestyle, and lose a bit of body fat. Working with Tori I’ve started to enjoy the gym and seeing new muscle definition has lead me to an additional goal of building strength.
2.) What keeps you motivated?
In the next few months I’m looking forward to cementing the healthy habits I’ve been developing, and really pushing myself in the gym. I’m naturally a very competitive person, even against myself, so seeing the weights go up as I train more has been extremely rewarding, and I’m excited to keep pushing those numbers up.
3.) Why is it important to you to live a healthy lifestyle?
A healthy lifestyle is important to me because I ask a lot of my body. I often work in stressful and tiring situations, and can do some very long hours - often on little or no notice. At 27, I know I can’t keep performing at my best if I do not give myself a good foundation. My goal is to have a good base level of fitness, and build health habits such as hydration and walking, and an understanding of nutrition so that looking after myself becomes a well ingrained habit, and doesn’t feel like an effort.
4.) What is your most memorable experience in this program?
Before starting with All-Tru, I really struggled with confidence and motivation. I didn’t have a good enough understanding to build a gym programme I felt would help me achieve my goals. I’d been going to the gym 2-3 times a week, but doing the same thing every time and was in a rut. I have a relatively chaotic military job, with very changeable schedules, which made keeping any routine hard. When I was tired, or in a different location, the first things that I let go of was fitness and proper nutrition, opting for quick and easy instead.
5.) BRIGHT SPOTS. Hype up your accomplishments, what are you most proud of so far since starting the program?
In the nearly three months I’ve been with All-Tru, I’ve notice so many changes. It started with a bit more energy, sleeping better and then some muscle definition. I’ve developed more confidence both in the gym and in myself, which has helped me push myself harder, and see even more results.
